1. Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc

Just outside the town of Antibes you’ll find one of the most spectacular (and expensive) hotels in the world. A playground for the rich and famous but if you can sneak in for a coffee you’ll get an iconic Instagram photo.

2. The Old Port, Nice

A wonderful hive of activity and the perfect reflection of French seaside living. The old fishing boats sit alongside glistening yachts and the people watching opportunities are superb.

3. La Tête De Chien

The perfect spot high above the principality of Monaco to get a view of “the dog’s head”, so called due to the shape of the land.

4. Eze

Head up here for lunch on a sunny day and you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven. The sun glistens off the sea to perfection, so a glass of white wine is basically mandatory.

5. La Croisette, Cannes

The strip along the beach where people walk hand-in-hand, taking in this legendary town. The beautiful hotels tower mightily over the strip in a nod to a bygone era, while the sun loungers and beach bars are always full.

6. St Tropez Old Town

In the summer months when the cafes are full, the yachts are backed into the port and the crowds are gawking, this is one of the best places in the world to be. The thing about St Tropez is you never know who you might bump into.

7. Villefranche-sur-Mer

A gorgeous small town between Nice and Monaco built around a bay that slopes down towards the water. The narrow streets looking down onto the water are like a postcard painting of the Cote D’azur.
