Hotel Of The Day: Hotel Costa Verde, Costa Rica

Adventurous travellers will be sure to put a trip to Hotel Costa Verde on their bucket lists. One of the most unusual places you’ll ever find yourself staying in, you’ll be sleeping inside an airplane in Costa Rica.

The unique beachfront hotel has a very special suite high up in the jungle that’s made from a 1965 Boeing 727.

Where exactly is Hotel Costa Verde?

The hotel is in a lush rainforest in Costa Rica, between the Manuel Antonio National Park and the Pacific Ocean.

With ocean views and a tropical climate (with treetop neighbours of sloths and monkeys!), it’s an ideal vacation spot.

What’s so special about this hotel?

The two bedroom, Boeing 727 fuselage suite is perched on a 50-foot pedestal in the jungle, and has been transformed into a beautiful hotel room. In its previous life, the plane shuttled globetrotters on South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines (Colombia).

The plane’s interior is Costa Rican teak paneling from the cockpit to the tail.

There’s also an ocean view terrace; a private entrance up a river rock, spiral staircase, and 360 degrees of surrounding gardens.

You’ll never want to return home after watching the sunset with a glass of wine on your jungle terrace…

Bucket List Instagram shots:

These are the photos that will make everyone green with envy… Not many people can say they fell asleep in a vintage airplane in the jungle. Incredible.
