Mount Rainier National Park Is About To Get A Massive Wildflower Bloom

Instagrammers and nature lovers, get ready for an incredible wildflower bloom in Mount Rainier National Park this summer. The national park in Washington is already beginning to show signs of the beautiful flowers.

Mount Rainer’s renowned wildflowers bloom for a limited amount of time every year, and that time is coming up. You can even see which exact flowers are blooming with this up-to-date flower tracker.

Avalanche lilies, paintbrush, asters, daisies, cinquefoil, fireweed, purple shooting stars and so many others, blanket the mountain in every colour of the rainbow. This is a vivid burst of nature.

The park’s wildflower bloom will kick off in July and peak in August

The “peak” bloom for wildflowers is heavily dependent on weather and precipitation patterns, so accurate predictions are difficult. But – and here’s the good ‘but’ – the bloom is already beginning.

So if you want to see the blooms, you might wanna start planning your trip now.

Wildflower Bloom

There’s 10 easy to moderate-level wildflower trails, all with amazing views.

A great choice is the paved Skyline Trail, providing fabulous flower views and it’s suitable for the whole family. Other area hikes with fantastic flower displays are Spray Park, Van Trump Park, and Indian Henrys.

Just remember: Please do not pick the flowers and stay on the trails!
