Why do all of these most visited cities sites list either Bangkok (20 mil) or Hong Kong (27 mil) as #1 when Las Vegas has over 40 mil.

Because only foreign visitors are counted, not domestic tourists. How many people do you think visit Bangkok or London each year, if domestic tourists are also counted? It’s probably close to 100 million in those places.

Hong Kong is not number 1 don’t count Chinese tourist as foreign tourists for Hong Kong . It is domestic tourists

u still need to go through the customs to HK if u are a Chinese. have to treat HK and Macau differently when they operate like their own country

To be honest, I really want to visit each of places that I am seeing right now. Europe is one of my best places to which is on my bucket list. Countries like Croatia, Italy is cheaper and heaven for foreign visitors. My island boat tour in Dubrovnik was also awesome.

I loved seeing this. Very inspiring having all the cities to visit in my bucket list.

What do these numbers represent? Miami’s 8,075.8 million at number 22 suggests that more than the world’s entire population visits the city, and is over 100 times more than the total figure given for the USA (76.9 million) in the article linked to in the intro (

Are these just random numbers?

That was a really interesting list! Although it’s quite impossible to put all the best cities under 50. You have shared some really good information and the images are amazing. Places like NYC, Miami, LA & Las Vegas are very popular cities in the US. Thank you for taking out time and sharing it with us!
