2. Ljubljana, Slovenia

Probably the most known destination in Slovenia, Ljubljana is the gateway spot for Lake Bled. This Alpine lake with the only island in Slovenia is where you will find the charming Bled Castle.

The town itself is out-of-this-world gorgeous, with fairytale bridges and cobblestone streets.

3. Rotterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam might get all the fame, but the Netherlands’ other great city – Rotterdam – is just as amazing Interrail stop-off.

It’s a wonderful place to visit, having recently been named “the world’s best festival city” and is a place bursting with life and fun things to do. It’s an exciting and vibrant city, with great culture and museums, architectural highlights and harbour views.

4. Berlin, Germany 

Arguably the coolest city in Europe (where else would you find techno-playing spas and abandoned amusement parks?), Berlin is the rough diamond of the continent where people play hard and work hard. This edgy city has graffiti on every corner and has turned into one of Europe’s coolest destinations since the fall of the Berlin Wall in ’89.

5. Paris, France

The city of lights offers you an almost unlimited array of things to do. Want to enjoy museums, old architecture, or grand, iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower? You will find lots of things to do in Paris. It’s easy to get around thanks to its handy Metro system, so you can see plenty in a short space of time.
