Boracay is one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever see, making it a must-visit for anyone travelling to the Philippines. You’ll likely start off your island hopping adventure here, but with most people flying into Caticlan, how to get from Caticlan to Boracay? Boracay is also served by Kalibo International Airport, but Caticlan Airport is closer. You’ve a few options to get here.
What you choose depends on a number of factors, including your budget and how much time you have to spare. You’ll be in paradise in no time…
How To Get From Caticlan to Boracay
1. Take a Tricycle to Caticlan Jetty Port
On a budget? When you arrive at Caticlan airport, walk past the minivans and head to the tricycle drivers who will take a duo to the port for 50 PHP each or solo riders for 75 PHP ($1.50 USD). They will drop you right at the port, where you can then catch the ferry.
2. Take a Minivan to Caticlan Jetty Port
If you have lots of luggage or can’t live without A/C then you can hop into a minibus at the airport to drive the 15 minutes or so to the port. You can either book in advance through your hotel or approach any of the drivers at the airport.
3. Book Tickets Online Via Bookaway
If you want to have your bus and ferry ticket all in one, book your tickets with Bookaway. Booking online is a great way to lock in your price. It also ensures your peace of mind; you’ll know your ticket is purchased and ready for your day of travel!
So, make life easier for yourself and book tickets for buses to the port and the ferry to Boracay in advance.
4. Make Sure You Go to The Registration & Verification Centre
At the port, make your way to the stall marked ‘Registration Area’. Here, all tourists visiting Boracay are required to sign in with the Department of Tourism. You must also have a hotel booked in advance and provide proof at the Verification Area beside this.
All visitors also have to pay an environmental fee of 75 PHP, which goes towards protecting the island.
5. Board a Ferry to Get From Caticlan to Boracay
Almost on the last leg of the (very quick!) journey. At the port, you can choose from a slower pump boat or the fast Oyster ferry. The ferry only takes about 15 minutes.
- The Pump Boat (Day: 5am-5:40pm): P25
- Pump Boat (Night: 5:40pm-9:45pm): P30
- Pump Boat (Midnight: 9:45pm-5am): P50

6. Take a Tricycle From Boracay Cagban Port to Your Hotel
