This is where serious steak lovers in Minneapolis come to for premium cuts that are cooked to absolute perfection. Dig into a Wagyu bavette, grass-fed sirloins or a 120-day dry aged rib eye. As well as being famed for their creative cuts, Burch really comes into its own with the side dishes… There’s pommes purée, with poutine and horseradish or roasted cauliflower with anchovies and burrata, to name but a few.

Try their legendary 28 oz strip sirloin for two, hand-cut by their in-house butcher Boyd, who has been with the restaurant for 37 years. It comes with choice of Murray’s French onion soup or Murray’s Caesar salad and choice of baked potato, mashed, au gratin or seasonal vegetables.

5. J.D. Hoyt’s Supper Club

This popular cajun-style steakhouse is the sort of place you’ll rave about for weeks after dining at – it’s got tender and juicy cuts, delicious side dishes and a full cocktail menu. All their entrees are cooked over a 100% hardwood burning charcoal grill for a beautiful smokey flavour.

Order the Steak Spaulding: a tenderloin filet topped with a crab cake and béarnaise sauce, served with asparagus and hash browns.

Butcher & The Boar is a creative take on an old school steakhouse, serving up New-American food and a hearty menu of chef-crafted meats, handmade sausages, and charcuterie. They source their ingredients from local farms and you can really taste the quality in every bite.

Steak highlights include a 16-oz Wagyu rib eye with farro-beet risotto, grilled asparagus, preserved lemon, and fromage blanc.
