Vegan restaurants are popping up all over the city and plant-based dieters are slowly beginning to enjoy the same culinary delights as their meat-eating counterparts. While traditional Belgian cuisine might not be vegan-friendly, these restaurants sure are.

1. Humus x Hortense

Humus x Hortense has got to be one of the absolute most beautiful restaurants in Europe, vegan or not. TICH is more of a lifestyle than a restaurant, at least that’s what it feels like when entering this concept-store and cafe. 5. Greenway

You’ll find lots of Greenway locations peppered all over Brussels and beyond. It’s one of the best vegan restaurants in the city if you’re after something super quick yet still super healthy. Despite being a bit of fast food veggie chain, the food is always high in quality and flavour. Enjoy soups, burgers, wraps, and some great juices that are loaded with vitamins and other great stuff to keep your body well fueled.

6. EXKi

Like Greenway, EXKi is an international veggie chain with plenty of spots to visit in Brussels. What we particularly love about this spot is that they not only have lots of veggie & vegan options, but they’re committed to other ethical practices as well. Reducing their carbon footprint and a commitment to zero waste are just some of the ways in which they promote an ethical lifestyle through their restaurants.

As much as I love Exki, they’re not a veggie chain, just focused on healthy food. They have good vegan options, but almost nothing in desserts for example, and they also serve meat.
Greenway is awesome but have – as far as I know – only one place in Brussels (others in Leuven, Gent and Antwerpen)
