You can easily get relatively cheap flights to Puerto Vallarta, and there’s a huge range of accommodation for all budgets here, from bargain rentals to all-inclusive offers. The Pacific Ocean resort town is a popular destination for spring breakers, with a bustling main strip of bars and local restaurants.
Right on the southern tip of Baja California Sur, Cabo is an amazing place for a break with a difference. Enjoy watersports such as jet skis and parasailing, bar hop on the waterfront bars at Mdona Beach and hit the clubs at night. Rent an apartment or Airbnb rather than staying at a resort to save money and make the most of local food and drink.
Surfing, swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, parasailing, wave runners, bikini contests, and beach parties… South Padre Island has long been a hotspot for Spring Breakers. Hotels are cheap and there’s always great drinks deals. While this year will see Texas’ biggest universities hold their breaks on different dates for the first time, the island town will still be packed with students from across the US.
If you want party vibes without driving as far south as Florida, New Orleans is a great shout. Flights might be slightly expensive, but you can find plenty of budget accommodation. Come March, it’s already shorts-and-sandals weather down here and it’s festival and seafood season as well.
With buzzing bars and the sounds of live jazz everywhere you go, you’re guaranteed to have a fun break.
Book far enough in advance (like, now!) and you can often get some very good deals on airfare and all-inclusive hotel offerings for spring break in the Bahamas. Expect unlimited drinks, pool/beach parties at the resort, party cruises, nightly events at top night clubs and serious antics. Local beach bars will provide plenty of reasonably priced drinks, too.
Pro tip: search for cheap flights to Miami and drive to the Keys from there to make the most of this cheap spring break vacation. Key West is famous for watersports, lively nightlife, beaches, historic sites and its pastel, pretty architecture, making it a popular place for a more relaxed spring break. Sunset cruises are a Key West tradition, as is the nightly parties on Mallory Square.
For spring break on a budget, Myrtle Beach ticks all the boxes. There’s plenty of vacation rentals and waterfront motels and hotels. While the water might be a little too chilly for swimming, there’s plenty of buzz along the boardwalk. Party the nights away to live music, and events such as foam parties, contests, glow parties, and much more.
