Most Complained About Attraction

7 Hilariously Bad TripAdvisor Reviews of World-Famous Attractions

We’re sure you probably have endless places on your bucket list, some of which might be famous tourist attractions. But actually, consumers are 21% more likely to leave a review after a negative experience than a positive one. When it came to the world’s most popular tourist attractions this was no different, as a new study by Uswitch shows. As for the most complained about attraction in the world? It’s none other than the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

And the reviews for these world-famous attractions are so bad they’re funny!

People spent 402 hours writing about their bad experiences at the Eiffel Tower, equating to 17.5 days worth of negativity just on one very iconic attraction. Although no other attraction came close to this, Rome’s historic Colosseum racked up an impressive 41 hours or 1.7 days of negative review writing online.

The study took a list of the world’s biggest tourist landmarks and then used Tripadvisor to look at the first 50 pages of its “poor” and “terrible” reviews to find the ones most complained about.
