We all have different ideas of what a ‘fun’ vacation is, right? But if you count nightlife, entertainment facilities and and outdoor activities as a good time, then we’re with you. As for which US state you’re basically guaranteed to have a good time in? Here’s looking at you, California.
Wallethub has released its list of the most fun states in the country, and found the California has it all.
“There are certain states where fun is not just an option but also a way of life,” Wallethub says about its list. “These states offer such a variety of activities that everyone will be able to find something that excites them.”
California came out on top with a total score of 61.57
Wallethub ranked the 50 states on a number of fun-important factors. These include the average weather, the cost of going to the movies, accessibility to national parks, as well as restaurants, fitness centres, and casinos per capita.
Considering California’s amazing food scene, beautiful scenery and glam vibes, it’s no wonder that this it the second year in a row that it takes home top spot.
Florida came in close second, with New York, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Texas also making the Top 10. We’re adding these straight to our must-visit list!
As for where fun-lovers should avoid, Wallethub ranked West Virginia as the least fun state. It came in 50th place for its “entertainment and recreation” rank and 46th for its “nightlife” rank. Too bad, West Virginia.
