Over the road from St James Palace, a few minutes from Buckingham Palace, the nearest stop is Green Park. Cannon Street station is also nearby.

Green Park is the closest underground, Cannon Street is the nearest overground. 

Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington, then it’s the Circle Line (yellow one) to Baker Street then change to the Jubilee Line (grey) 2 stops in the south direction, get off at Green Park.
St James Park, St James Palace, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Big Ben, Parliament, the London Eye. Also Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
