Patatas Bravas Recipe: Ingredients

  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Potatoes
  • Fresh parsley
  • Garlic
  • Red chillies
  • Mayonaise (or yoghurt)
  • Onions

The prep for this dish is minimal. Start by slicing onions, garlic and chopping up the chillies. Leave the chilli seeds in for that extra kick.

Fry those three ingredients off in some olive oil over a low to medium heat.

After 5-6 minutes, add in the tinned tomatoes.

While the sauce is cooking, peel and dice the potatoes. It’s important to get a nice even sized dice so that they all cook evenly.

When the sauce thickens up, season it with salt and pepper and blend.

Heat up a frying pan with a generous amount of olive oil. You want it to be on a medium to high heat and hear a sizzle when the potatoes land in the pan. Keep tossing them or use a plastic spoon to move them, so that they don’t stick.
