Whether you’re a nervous traveller or just curious, it’s no harm being aware of where you’ll find the safest cities in the world.

The Economist Intelligence Unit released its latest Safe Cities Index, which ranks 60 cities across 57 different categories. These include digital security, health security, infrastructure security and personal security. It ranks cities on everything from air pollution levels, road deaths and gun regulation to crime rates.

Tokyo again comes first overall, and Asia-Pacific cities make up six of the top ten.
