Their burgers come absolutely packed full of toppings, with an inventive menu to choose from. The biggest struggle will be getting it into your mouth in one go.

They also serve up great craft beers, which complement the burgers perfectly. All that and more makes Himas the ideal place to come with a group of friends before a night out.

24th. Panimoravintola Koulu – Turku

This is a traditional bar where they tick so many boxes, including showing sports games, having super craft beers and a wonderful terrace for the warmer months.

The burgers themselves are absolutely massive in size, so you will want to have worked up a large appetite before arriving. But hey, with tasty toppings, you’ll finish every last bite.

23rd. Treffipub – Helsinki

Treffipub is a neighbourhood bistro where their burgers not only look absolutely picture perfect, but also taste outstanding.

The main flavour comes from the super fresh meat which is cooked on their special charcoal grill. Along with classic toppings and super fresh buns, you will struggle to find a better burger than this.

22nd. Woolshed Helsinki – Australian Gastropub – Helsinki

Their large menu is packed full of all the comfort foods that you could ever desire to go along with a day of drinking.

Their steaks and grilled meats are superb, but you would be foolish to look beyond the burgers. Served up casually on metal trays, you will have a massive smile on your face from the very first bite.

21st. Ravintola Wanha Tappi – Tampere

This local Tampere restaurant serves up some of the juiciest burgers in Finland. Choose from toppings such as bacon or blue cheese, and all burgers come with lettuce, red onion, pickles, tomatoes, mayonnaise, house dips and a side dish of your choice. We suggest their crispy and golden waffle fries! Stay for the live music, games and sports.

20th. BURGER5 – Kuopio

They pride themselves on their burgers, and to say they are good at them would be an understatement. In fact, they look nearly too good to eat.

Piled high with super fresh toppings. delicious juicy patties and wonderful dressings these are by far some of the best burgers in Finland.

19th. Bites Burgers – Helsinki

Bites Burgers has three locations (one of which is only open during the summer) and is a surefire bet for a droolworthy, juicy burger. They do a creative special that changes regularly – such as the current Bring the Spring with Grilled Yellow Zucchini, Fresh Asparagus, Sweet Jalapeño Jam and a Ramiro Paprika Mayo.

18th. Di Trevi – Turku

Di Trevi is a casual bistro with a Mediterranean-style menu – they’ve been closed for renovations but will reopen shortly, so keep an eye on their social media. With finger-licking good burgers and other small plates, you’ll want to rush straight here. The sunny terrace is one of the best places to enjoy the warmer days.

17th. Kauppuri 5 – Oulu

There’s delectable burgers to pick from here, all as good as the next. Toppings include goat cheese, or a meaty feast with bacon, overnight braised roast beef, pulled pork, cheddar cheese, chili mayo, bbq sauce and red onion. 

There’s plenty of choice on the menu for all tastes, including grilled veggie patties, crispy fried chicken and classic beef.

16th. Sori Taproom – Helsinki

This brewery taproom has a modern American style kitchen with all your favourite foods, including the best smokey meats, burgers and BBQ. The burger changes regularly, but keep an eye out for the brisket one. Best bit? Choose from 24 craft beers on draft to wash it down with.

Just a few steps from the Töölö’s Market Square, this stylish bistro serves up some delectable burgers at lunch, on brioche buns with country style french fries.

Want a huge feed? Get the Sävel’s Open burger: Two minced beef steaks, Monterey Jack cheddar cheese, halloumi cheese, bacon, fried egg, lettuce, cheddar-chili mayonnaise, house coleslaw and aioli.

14th. ROAST, A Rough Restaurant – Tampere

Roast’s menu design on high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the premium ingredients in every single bite of their burger. Beef burgers are a juicy 200g of prime beef, with toppings such as cheese, aioli, crispy romaine lettuce, pickles and marinated red onion. There’s also a roast salmon burger if you fancy something more seafood-orientated.

13th. Deluxe Burger & Pizza Myyrmanni – Vantaa

As well as amazing Roman-style pizzas and local craft beers, this Vantaa eatery has some of the best burgers in Finland on the menu. Black Angus steak meat arrives fresh from a small producer, and soft brioche breads are baked for them several times a week at the Rönttösrouva small bakery.

And yes, they do taste just as delicious as they look.

12th. Pohjanmaan Grilli Oy – Espoo

This no-fuss, local grill is one to come to if you are absolutely starving because their portions are massive. We’re talking triple-stacked patties, stuffed with cheese, bacon and all sorts of other tasty toppings.

You’ll struggle to get it all into your mouth, but once you do the flavours are superb.

11th. Krog Roba Restaurant – Helsinki

This former police station is now a relaxed restaurant in the Lilia Roberts hotel. Roba’s burger is an absolute beast, yet somehow manages to be the perfect size to take a bite all in one go. Pillowy fresh buns and Hereford beef make it stand out.

10th. Best Hamburgers – Ähtäri

Best in name, and best in actual deliverance, this laidback hamburger joint has been going strong since 1984. That tells you all you need to know about how locally loved this spot is! Burgers range from classic cheeseburgers to a chicken fillet burger with pineapple and curry mayo. They’re simple, but delicious.

This hip burger bar has only recently been open, but it’s already proving a huge hit. The burgers are made with amazing local ingredients – resulting in one of the tastiest burgers in Finland.

While they’re best known for the dry-aged steaks, the burgers here are another must-order. Burgers aren’t always on the menu, but when they are it’s outstanding.

NAUGHTY BRGR was founded by the first Finnish Top Chef winner Akseli Herlevi, who spent over 10 years in search of the best burger recipes in the world. The result? One of the best burger joints in the entire country. Juicy meat and heaps of toppings. Buns are pillowy and fresh and the meat is juicy.

Mike’s Diner is a funky American 50′s-style diner at Myyrmäki station ground level – you wouldn’t expect to find such amazing burgers in this location, but they’re the real deal. There’s other classics on the menu, but the burger though is so juicy, thick, packed full of flavour and well made that you’d be foolish to ignore it.
