If you want to be transported back in time to what you might think China looked like in the 1950s, come to Sing Sing Theater. With hanging lanterns, red lighting and dragon statues, it’s not hard to think you’re in China here at Sing Sing.

With the amazing decor, their drinks are just as fantastic, as they use premium liquors in their cocktails. Just an overall fabulous experience.

45th. The Vending Machine – Beijing, China

The Vending Machine is a hip and hidden bar whose entrance is flanked by a wall of vending machines that lead you into the bar. This bar is also a bit different in that their drinks are draft cocktails, so they are made in advance awaiting for you to drink them.

If you don’t feel like having tap cocktails, you can order one fresh from their bartender and then you can venture around and play some old-school arcade games here.

44th. Alchemy Speakeasy Bar Taipei – Taiwan

Across the street from Taipei 101, there is another jewel of the city’s bar scene, up on the second floor. Alchemy Speakeasy is your typical speakeasy bar with wooden furnishings to give it a classy finish.

Guests that come here come for the great cocktails – served in a wooden box and wrapped in newspaper – and live jazz music.

43rd. Hana Sake Bar – Osaka, Japan

Learn all about sake at this cosy bar that serves superb Japanese whiskey, shochu, awamori and tasting flights of sake. It’s welcoming and a great spot to visit if you’re in Osaka by yourself. This three-in-one cafe/restaurant/bar is the perfect example of when good things combine to make something even better. Whiskey fan? Try the Godfather cocktail, with Laphroig 10 Year Old with hints of hojicha (Japanese green tea), apricot brandy, and bitters, with a piece of salty candied prosciutto.

Keep an eye out for the ‘secret’ bar called Tipsy, hidden somewhere in the building. But shh.

4th. CÉ LA VI – Singapore, Singapore

You could make a good argument for this being one of the most iconic hotel bars ever, perched 200 metres above sea level atop the iconic Marina Bay Sands SkyPark. Asian-fusion bites and classic cocktails will keep you fuelled for a night of partying.
