7 Incredible Images From National Geographic’s 2019 Travel Photo Contest

Travel photography is a superb way to spark some inspiration for exploring the world. As more and more images of far-flung places and secret views pop up on our Instagram feed , the photos we see just keep getting better.

Always a showcase of the best travel photos of the year, National Geographic’s Travel Photo Contest reveals the best photographs of Nature, Cities and People across the world.

Nat Geo has just announced the winners of this year’s contest, chosen from thousands of entries, and they’re absolutely incredible.

The grand prize winner was Weimin Chu, who photographed a fishing village in northwestern Greenland. Its bright coloured houses help people find their way in the snow. Chu will receive $7,500 and a post on National Geographic Travel’s Instagram account, @natgeotravel.

Here’s seven of the top picks from this year’s travel photo contest…
