2. Papatura island Retreat

An island getaway that’s fast becoming known as one of the South Pacific’s most sought after secret spots.

There’s excellent fishing and awesome surfing, world class reefs for snorkelling, and tropical rainforest walks. You’ll leave feeling so relaxed.

3. Kwaibala Waterfall

Just 3km from Auki, you’ll find this pretty little waterfall with pools to swim in.

There’s no signposts for the waterfall, so you’ll need to enlist the help of a local guide to make sure you find it.

4. Honiara Central Market

The country’s main food market is the Central Market in Honiara. A hub of noise and colour, the market has a huge selection of fish and fresh produce.

5. Fatboys Resort

Fatboys Resort, Bar & Restaurant is situated 100 metres on the crystal clear waters of Babanga island and is all about living that good life.

Their traditional wooden bungalows have insane sunset views and are right on top of the water, so you can dive right into the ocean as soon as you wake up.

Uepi is a classic raised barrier reef island, covered in impressive rainforest with just one luxury resort to stay in.

It has world-class diving spots, ranging from lagoon coral gardens to vertical drop-offs into 2000 metres of ocean.

7. Marovo Lagoon

Marovo Lagoon is a large saltwater lagoon located in the New Georgia Islands, north of Vangunu Island.

It contains hundreds of paradise islands where you can snorkel, explore deserted islands and eat freshly caught seafood at local shacks.
