1. Wasdale Head

A gorgeous little hamlet that claims to be the home to the of the highest mountain, deepest lake and the smallest church. Ample opportunities to get some amazing shots of the Lake District for Instagram.

2. Surprise View

A lovely hike that rewards you with some of the very best views in the entire country. You’ll find plenty of headspace, peace and quiet when up here too.

3. Aira Force Waterfall

Protected by the National Trust, there’s a moderately tough walk to get up to the waterfall but it will suit most ages and levels of fitness. You’ll get great picture when you do get to the top, so it’s worth it.

4. Side Pike, Langdale

Side Pike is one of the great hikes not just in the Lake District but indeed anywhere in the UK. Follow the paths or walls and find some of the most breathtaking photo opportunities imaginable.

5. Keswick Boat Landings

Capture these unique boats before they set out on the lakes, or when they return. An  iconic photo. For an even better shot head out on a boat and get a photo from the lakes themselves.

6. Ashness Bridge

A perfectly constructed stone bridge that offers fantastic views from Borrowdale towards Skiddaw. The perfect escape from busy motorways and streets nearby.

7. Buttermere

The lake and the local village share the same name and this is perhaps one of the best places of all to spend time in the Lake District. The entire area home to some amazing hikes.
