According to Amtrak’s website you can: “buy one ticket on the Northeast Regional or Acela, and bring a companion for free.”

The Amtrak BOGO fall sale is on between now and September 30, 2020 but is valid on travel between now and December 12, 2020. However, travel on Fridays and Sundays is excluded. The sale applies to Acela and Northeast Regional trains throughout the Northeast Corridor from Boston to Virginia. So if hiking isn’t your jam, and you’d rather sit back and relax while enjoying some fall foliage then just hop on a train!

Most fares on Acela trains are priced under $100 which would be just $50 each for you and a friend with thanks to the BOGO fall sale. So which will it be? Richmond to Washington, DC? Boston to New York? New York to Philly? Philly to DC? Amongst many more deals. Take your pick!
