This ‘Golden Retriever Experience’ Lets You Hang Out With 26 Dogs

If you’re feeling some FOMO by having to staycation in the UK, then we’re here to say that you are the lucky one. Could this be the best thing to do in England right now? It’s called the Golden Retriever Experience, and it’s just what it sounds like: you can have fun hanging out with an incredible pack of goldies for some much-needed doggy cuddles.

The experience is a family-run attraction in West Somerset, England. It gives the unique opportunity for you and your family/friends to have a personal encounter with a pack of 26 trained Golden Retrievers.

The Golden Retriever Experience is a Dog Lover’s Dream

Love dogs? You can now spend a whole day playing fetch with a pack of goldies

Golden Retriever experience

Yep, the whole day getting licked by a bunch of beautiful dogs!

You can book the entire day at The GRE which lasts 6 to 8 hours or stay as little as 2 hours. The minimum stay is a 2-hour session. This is because you’ll need enough time for briefing and playing with the dogs, and trust us – 1 hour is not enough! And most people say the same about the 2 hour sessions. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Prices start from £50 for adults, with discounts available for seniors, students and military personnel.

Highlights of the experience include:

  • Playing fetch with 26 trained Golden Retrievers
  • Learning about dog behaviour
  • Getting cuddles from all the goldies
  • Exploring Exmoor National Park

You can have as many or as few dogs in your session as you would like. For those with a fear of dogs, they will only introduce you to one or two senior dogs until you feel comfortable with more. Want an extreme experience? They can slowly introduce you to the whole pack which is an incredible sensation.

They also aim to help people who are scared of dogs overcome their fears. The Golden Retriever Experience can also accommodate for those challenged by Autism, Aspergers and any other social, behavioural or learning difficulties. They can also help blind and deaf clients, elderly patients, and patients recovering from brain injury (ABI).

Who needs to travel to a far-flung destination if you have this on your doorstep? For those not lucky enough to live in England, add this to your 2021 bucket list…
