Smoked Salmon Pasta Recipe – Ingredients
- Pasta (we used fresh linguine)
- Smoked salmon
- Parmesan cheese
- Baby spinach
Start by slowly simmering the garlic in olive oil. This will take 2-3 minutes but make sure you don’t burn it. Slow and steady is the key here.
Strain the capers, add them to the pan and turn the heat up a little.
At this stage cook the pasta in boiling water. We are using fresh pasta, but dried works just as well – the shape is up to you!
Squeeze the juice of the lemons into the pan, making sure not to allow any pips fall in.
Slice the smoked salmon.
When the lemons have been added and the juicy sauce comes to the boil, add the pasta. You should also add half a cup of the pasta cooking water.
Stir everything together so that the pasta is well coated with all the cooking juices.
At the very last minute, add a handful of baby spinach. You want this to stay as green and vibrant as possible, so don’t add it in too early. It shouldn’t take more than 10 seconds to wilt into the pasta.
Finish with the smoked salmon and stir everything together. Instantly remove from the heat, as you don’t actually want to cook the smoked salmon.
Grate the cheese over the top of the pasta.
This smoked salmon pasta recipe is one of the tastiest things ever. Restaurant standard cooking ready in less than 10 minutes. Let us know how you get on!
