3. Church of the Saviour on Spilt Blood

4. Winter Palace

Previously home to Russian Emperors, today it is home to the wonderful Hermitage museum, a hotel and a wonderful facade that makes for a lovely backdrop.

5. Grand Peterhof Palace

These palaces, gardens and fountains were commissioned by Peter The Great and are often known as “The Russian Versailles”. Spectacular both inside and out with a photo near the “Grand Cascade” a must.

Built over three centuries ago, this huge space has always been the public gathering spot for this wonderful city. So much history with many public events held here that it gives you a feeling of awe just walking around it.

Also known as Aleksandrovsky Sad these stunning gardens in the city centre spread over a large area and change with the seasons all year around. Wonderfully looked after and the perfect spot for an Instagram shot.
