London tacos make the world go ’round… What’s not to love about these delicious little parcels packed full of Mexican goodness? Tacos are the perfect sharing food, with so many varieties available and tasty toppings that you’ll never tire of them.

1. El Pastor
The El Pastor family is a small group of Mexican taquerias in London, with tortillas made in-house using heritage Mexican corn. They don’t take bookings and the room is always buzzing, so come early and expect to have a seriously good time. The sort of place that once you discover you’ll instantly become a regular.
2. Breddos Tacos
Breddos Tacos started as a market stall, building up a loyal fan base who have followed them ever since. Their food is influenced by the hundreds of roadside taquerias and restaurants that they encountered on their travels throughout America and Mexico. Keep an eye out for their happy hours as they always have some killer deals on.
3. Santo Remedio
The owners started Santo Remedio in 2013, running pop ups and supper clubs to bring the flavours of Mexico that they grew up with to Londoners. A huge effort goes into the fillings, like the beef Barbacoa which is braised for eight hours with smokey dried Mexican chillies. Divine.
4. Temper Soho
Big, bold food that really makes you stand back and think in a whole new way about what you are eating. These cheeseburger tacos are a great example. They might not sound like what you expect from a taqueria, but as soon as you taste them you’ll be a huge fan.
5. DF Tacos
DF Tacos has a bright, airy and buzzing room where they serve not only superb tacos but also big jugs of cocktails, some tasty burgers and crinkle cut fries. The perfect place to start a night out with friends with the tacos themselves a generous size.
6. Corazón
You’ll find this little gem just off Oxford Street and they cook up some of the best looking and best tasting Mexican food in the city. Everything is delicious, but to ignore the tacos would simply be foolish.
Watch out for their special deal as every Monday – Friday they offer any two tacos, totopos, salsa + guacamole for £10 and will promise to have you in and out in 30 minutes. Ideal.
7. La Bodega Negra
They serve Mexican and what they call “beach” food in their two locations. The food is absolutely amazing but it’s the live music which really transports you and makes you feel like you are eating your tacos on a Mexican beach.
