The brunch scene here is pretty banging. With classic comforts like fluffy pancake stacks, grilled cheese sandwiches and huevos rancheros, brunch in Belfast is as good as it gets. While it used to be the case that Dublin was where all the best brunchin’ spots were, it’s now Belfasts time to shine.
We’ve done the hungry (well, greedy!) work to suss out the best brunch spots in the city. Get ready for a feast…
Best Brunch Spots In BelfastHow do these rankings work?
1. General Merchants
The brunch here is similar to what you would find in Australia – which makes sense, as the owner used to live there. A seasonal menu of local ingredients means there’s always a new dish to try, but firm brekkie favourites are key here. Must-eats include the Irish porridge and the ‘Manwich’ with Clonakilty black pudding and Ballymaloe relish.
2. The Bullitt
The lobby bar and cafe in the hip Bullitt Hotel is one of the best places for brunch in Belfast. P.S. They do a slick bottomless brunch every Sunday!
