One of the smallest nations in Europe, Luxembourg is surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany. It’s mostly rural with scenic forests but Luxembourg City, is famed for its medieval old town.

2. Christmas Markets
Each year, the traditional Christmas markets in Luxembourg City turn the Place d’Armes, the Place de la Constitution and the Place de Paris into a real Christmas village.

5. Temps d’Or Hotel
This authentic 12th-century castle hotel offer scenic views of the Valley of the Seven Castles. There’s just six bedrooms, decorated in a charming old-school style.
The hotel itself is on 500 acres of woods and meadows that guests are welcome to explore. Gorgeous.
