The world’s best airlines have been announced at the 2019 World Airline Awards, with Asian airlines yet again soaring to the top. If luxury is what you’re after – we’re talking spacious legroom, friendly cabin staff and tasty meals – then you should book with an Asia-based airline.
Out of the top 10, only one European company made the list.
Qatar Airways was named the No.1 Airline at the Skytrax 2019 World Airline Awards, with Singapore Airlines ranked 2nd and ANA (All Nippon Airways) in 3rd place.
This is the fifth year in a row that Qatar Airways won the prestigious title from “the Oscars of the aviation industry”. They also scooped awards for the World’s Best Business Class, the World’s Best Business Class Seat and the Best Airline in the Middle East.
As well as the most luxurious airlines, the world’s top “low-cost” airlines were also named. All in the name of balance, you know…
