1. Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge

One of the most beautiful places in Armenia is the swinging bridge above the gorge of Old Khndzoresk. You will look down at ancient caves and green forests as you walk across it.

2. Trchkan waterfall

Trchkan waterfall is sometimes called the “Armenian Niagara” and is the highest waterfall in the country.

It’s a refreshing place to cool down in during the summer. It’s also incredible in the winter months, when the entire waterfall freezes over.

3. Mount Aragats

Mount Aragats is an extinct volcano with four peaks that look like a blooming flower when viewed from above.

Climb up to the southern peak ( 3,879m) for a view of the breathtaking countryside below. There’s also a crystal clear lake at the bottom of the mountain.

4. Vernissage flea market

Vernissage is an open-air market in the capital city of Yerevan, where you’ll find traditional Armenian jewellery, souvenirs and handicrafts.

The market is a riot of colour and a vibrant spot to grab an authentic Armenia Instagram.

5. Tatev Monastery

This 9th-century church is straight out of a fairytale.

Explore the stone fortress walls and ancient paintings by European masters. It’s located on a hill, so you can also admire the views of the countryside.

6. Yerevan Cascade view

The Cascade Monument is one of the most famous sights in Yerevan.

From the top of the staircase, you can see the mountains in the background. Our tip? Get a taxi to the top of the stairs and walk down them, rather than up. It’s way easier.

7. Goshavank Monastery

Goshavank is an ancient Armenian church located in the mountain village of Gosh. This is a real hidden gem that is a must-see during your trip.
