The 7 Best Bars In Koh Samui

Is there anything better than watching the sunset, cocktail in hand? We certainly don’t think so, and luckily Koh Samui is one of the best places to do just that.

From stylish rooftop spaces to watch the sun go down to rustic beach shacks, here’s the best bars in Koh Samui.

1. The Jungle Club

Drive up the steep winding road to the Jungle Club hotel for a breathtaking panoramic view over the Gulf of Siam.

You won’t find a better place in Koh Samui for a sundowner than this.

2. WOOBAR at W Retreat

An iconic bar on the island, this modern cocktail bar at the W Hotel is a real showstopper.

Plush seating surrounds round tables, expert mixologists whip up tasty cocktails and a DJ is on hand to spin tunes. Plus, there’s that incredible view. What’s not to love?

3. Lamai Stadium

Not technically  a bar itself, grab a beer from one of the many drink shacks surrounding the Muy Thai stadium in Lamai for an unforgettable Saturday night.

See all the action up close, sip on bargain cocktails and stick around afterwards for loud music and partying.

4. Nikki Beach

A high-end beach club is the place to be every Sunday for the famous Nikki Beach brunch party. Bottomless champagne is flowing all day long, a DJ and saxophonist are by the pool blasting music and the fun never stops.

Stick around for a beautiful sunset.

5. Air Bar

Perched high above the Gulf of Thailand on cliffs of Taling Ngam, Air Bar at the InterContinental Hotel is a one-of-a-kind destination cocktail lounge on Koh Samui.

Live jazz and a daily Happy Hour of buy-one-get-one-free means you’ll be back here again and again.

6. Bees Knees Brewpub

The only craft beer pub on the island, Bees Knees is a lovely little spot near Chaweng Lake.

They have craft beers from all over the world, as well as their own freshly brewed beers (that you can see being made through glass walls) that are well worth a taste. The owner is super friendly and usually at the bar, ready to offer up helpful suggestions for what to try next.

7. Pocahontas Bar

Cocktails for 70baht, a pool table and great music – what else could you ever want from a bar? Pocahontas bar is a tiny little shack on the main road by Lamai beach that’s nice and chilled.

Staff are friendly, drinks are good and they show sports on the TV if you’re that way inclined.
