Graffiti Alley is the only legal art space in Baltimore City where street artists can create their work freely and it’s one of the city’s best kept secrets. Look for the L-shaped alley behind the Motor House, and you’ll find it.

2. Deep Creek Lake

Explore the beach area on the lake, pose for photos at the tallest free-falling waterfall in Maryland and go ice-fishing in winter when the lake freezes over.

4. Annapolis Rock on Appalachian Trail

This is one of the most popular hikes along Maryland’s section of the Appalachian Trail, and for good reason. It’s fairly easy, and the views are absolutely fantastic.

5. Sandy Point State Park

Sandy State Point Park’s beaches and picnic areas are well known for their breathtaking scenic water views that overlook one of Maryland’s true treasures, the Chesapeake Bay.

6. Swallow Falls State Park
