Salmon And Ginger Noodles: Ingredients
- Salmon
- Noodles (Fresh ideally but dried will work)
- Soy sauce
- Leeks
- Carrots
- Limes
- Ginger
Peel and slice the carrots and ginger as fine as you can. Next, cut the leeks in half and give them a good wash before slicing them up as fine as you can.
Remove the skin from the salmon by running your knife along the bottom of the fillet. Next, slice the salmon into thin slices. This will allow it to cook much quicker.
Grease a sheet of tinfoil with a little olive oil. Add the veg on the bottom and layer the salmon on top. Season it all with a little salt and pepper.
Pour the soy sauce over the fish and veggies.
Squeeze the juice of the limes over the salmon.
The soy and lime will steam in the oven and add a wonderful cooking liquid that flavours the whole dish.
Fold over the tin foil and seal the package up. This is essential so that everything cooks evenly and all the steam stays within the package.
Pop it into the oven at 200C / 400 F for about 6-8 minutes (the oven should be pre-heated).
While the fish is cooking, pop the noodles into some boiling water for a couple of minutes before straining.
Remove the fish package from the oven and carefully open it – there will be piping hot steam coming out of it!
Place the noodles onto the plate first…
Layer the veggies and the fish onto the noodles and pour some of the cooking liquor from the package over the top for a natural sauce. These salmon and ginger noodles are an absolute taste sensation.
Simple cooking at its best.
