Travelling around Vietnam? A stop-off in the beautiful beachside city of Danang is a must. It’s just 40 minutes from Hoi An, making it an ideal place to spend a few days. With a modern and stylish vibe, there’s plenty of great spots to snap for Instagram in Danang.
From viral bridges to beaches, here’s our top picks of the prettiest places.
Most Instagrammable spots in Danang
1. Golden Hands bridge (BÃ NÃ Hills)
Just outside of the beach city of Da Nang in Vietnam, there’s a mystical bridge that looks like it was made by ancient Gods. Despite looking like it’s thousands of years old, the Golden Hands Bridge only opened in 2018.
It looks like it rises up out of the clouds from nowhere, yet it’s actually within a huge amusement complex, Sunworld Ba Na Hills.
2. Marble Mountains
Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son) are five marble mountains with pagodas on the peaks. Each mountain is named after natural elements (water, wood, fire, metal, earth). Climb the hundreds of steps to the top, discover caves and enjoy the amazing view.
3. Hai Van Pass
The Hai Van Pass is just a half hour from Danang, and we reckon that driving the 21 km mountain loop is essential. You’ll have views of the coastline below that make for a perfect Instagram in Danang.
4. My Khe Beach
This beach is one of the reasons why Danang is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam. The sand stretches on for 35km and is golden and clean, with gentle waves for swimming in. Stop by one of the many beach bars for an amazing sunset view.
5. Tam Thanh Mural Village
This sleepy fishing village 40 minutes outside of Danang has been transformed into a living art gallery. There’s more than 100 murals on the village’s walls, fences and pretty much every available space. The art project was organised by the Korean Community Art Exchange Program and the Vietnamese Peoples Committee of Quang Nam province.
6. Dragon Bridge
Dragon Bridge in Da Nang is the longest bridge in Vietnam, and yes, it looks just like a dragon. It’s especially stunning at nighttime, when it lights up with LED colours. On weekends and annual festivities, the bridge also spit waters or breathes fire from its mouth from 9pm onwards.
7. 85 Design Cafe
This super cool coffee store in the city is in four former shipping containers with a funky industrial vibe. There’s a pretty terrace to soak up the sun and a pond with fish. But it’s the shipping container cafe itself that’s worthy of the ‘gram.
