The 7 Most Instagrammable Spots In Dominica

Dominica is a mountainous Caribbean island with natural hot springs and tropical rainforests.

With mile after mile of untouched green paradise to explore, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get a scenic Dominica Instagram photo. Whether you’re a beach bum or adrenaline junkie, make sure to visit these places

1. Morne Trois Pitons National Park

This national park is centred on a 1342-metre-high volcano, with roaring waterfalls, and dense rainforests.

There’s also hot springs, three freshwater lakes, a ‘boiling lake’ and five volcanoes. Absolutely incredible.

2. Scott’s Head

A tiny village on the southwest coast of Dominica, Scotts Head overlooks Soufrière Bay. It’s one of the most popular diving destinations in the world.

Hikers and swimmers who visit in summer can catch the annual village feast in honour of Saint Peter. SO TASTY.

3. Papillote Tropical Gardens

A tropical garden on a mountain slope high above the Caribbean sea. The garden is a gorgeous place to have a stroll and admire the unusual flowers and plants.

Be sure to bring swimming gear for the mineral mud baths. A great Dominica Instagram shot.

4. Victoria Falls

Not to be confused with the Victoria Falls in Africa, this pretty waterfall is perfect for a refreshing dip.

The waterfall is surrounded by mountains and tall trees. It’s about a two hour hike from the nearest village but well worth it.

5. Roseau

Roseau is the capital city of Domenica and has amazing Creole architecture. It’s easy to explore on foot, so walk down towards the market stalls with a cool Rastafarian vibe and Reggae music.

Foodies will love the fresh fish and lobster available in the local restaurants. It’s super chilled.

Champagne Reef gets its name from the bubbling waters rising from volcanic springs on the ocean floor. There’s colourful coral, tropical fish and even a Spanish shipwreck.

The place where the volcano meets the water, this is a once-in-a-lifetime sight to see. The water in the lake is like a hot cauldron, so don’t give in to the the temptation to swim in it!
