Have you ever thought about what it’s like to fly on the Millennium Falcon?
While you might not be able to suit up and soar through space with Han Solo, Virgin Atlantic’s new Star Wars-themed Boeing 747 can get you pretty close.
You don’t have to be a Jedi to join the ride, but you might have to summon The Force in order to snag a seat. The exclusive journey is only available for 455 passengers.
Here’s what you need to know about the new Virgin Atlantic Star Wars-themed plane.
The Falcon And The Force: Virgin’s New Star Wars Plane
Wrapped in galactic film and modelled after Han Solo’s famous ship, Virgin’s planning on allowing a select few super-fans to take a ride on The Falcon.
The decals on the new galaxy-themed aircraft measure 44 metres long, which took the company three weeks to print. Prepping for an inaugural intergalactic journey is no joke.
It’s currently unclear as to just how themed the flight is. They haven’t released any photos of the aircraft’s interior.
Virgin’s tease to families and fans is to “be on the lookout for surprise theming and a few extra touches along the way.”
What Is The Virgin Holidays Star Wars Experience?
In February 2020, Virgin Holidays will offer what they’re calling the Ultimate Virgin Holidays Star Wars Experience.
To celebrate the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, Virgin has planned an intergalactic holiday vacation package for select visitors.
The Falcon is currently set to embark from London Gatwick on the 15th of February, 2020 and will take passengers all the way to Galaxy’s Edge and back, until the 22nd of February. This exclusive themed Virgin Atlantic flight is available to only 455 passengers.
According to Virgin Atlantic, it will include everything from an immersive dining experience to specially-designed Magic Bands. And, of course, the main event – the themed flight on The Falcon.
How To Get Tickets For The Virgin Atlantic Star Wars-Themed Plane
Interested in flying on Virgin Atlantic’s unique Star Wars-themed plane? Tickets start from as low as £1,949 per person depending on the Disney Resort Hotel you choose to stay at.
As of right now, you’ll have to “register your interest” directly on the Ultimate Virgin Holidays Star Wars Experience webpage.
Hopefully, a few seats still remain. May The Force be with you.
