6. Dragør

You have to visit the idyllic fishing village Dragør, only 30 minutes from Copenhagen, for a perfectly relaxed day trip. You can stroll through the cute cobblestoned streets of colourful houses and enjoy the genuine harbourside “hygge”.

The village is home to several small shops and a picturesque harbour, as well as restaurants and cafés with great, local atmosphere.

7. Dyrehaven

Just a 20 minute trip outside of Copenhagen will take you to Dyrehaven, a wonderful woodland that seems far from city lights and traffic noise. Dyrehaven is home to more than 2,000 free range deer that live in the the park, so you’ll surely come across a herd of grazing deer as you wander around.

Its green hills are popular spots for picnics, jogging, biking and horseback riding.
