Close to New York and Philadelphia, New Jersey has green parks and a cosy vibe. The famous Jersey Shore is lined with sandy beaches and quiet towns, plus the not-so-quiet Atlantic City, where you’ll find busy casinos and nightlife.

3. George Washington Bridge

George Washington Bridge spans the Hudson river and with its two decks it’s wonderfully iconic for a picture either, when crossing it or when taken from a distance.

4. Atlantic City Boardwalk

Set off about an hour before sunset and just take in all the sights and sounds of this bustling city. Endless Instagrammable spots along the boardwalk.

5. Buttermilk Falls

Buttermilk Falls State Park takes its name from the foaming cascade formed by Buttermilk Creek as it flows down the steep valley side toward Cayuga Lake. The upper park has a small lake and lovely hiking trails through woodlands.

6. The Palisades

These stunning line of steep cliffs along the west side of the lower Hudson River are totally majestic and make for a wonderful day trip.

7. Stairway to Heaven Trail

A 2.9 mile trail that offers some stunning views at the top. It does get super busy, so make sure to come either early in the morning or at a quieter time of the year to avoid the crowds.
