Firstly, The Collins Quarter. This popular Australian brunch spot serves up delicious, stylish food in a trendy open space. The short rib hash with braised short rib, potato hash cakes, poached egg, chimichurri, mushrooms and smashed avocado is out of this world.
Definitely be there for 12pm because waiters march through the restaurant ringing a bell to announce the start of the boozy brunch.Â
2. Fox and Fig
This plant based cafe is the most popular vegan brunch spot in Savannah. The menu is modern and confident. They serve everything from fresh tostadas to rich baba ganoush.
And their coffee menu is even more exciting. Elderflower espresso tonic, vanilla cashew-hemp breve and a spiced lavender mocha.
3. Gryphon
The Gryphon is a fancy destination for brunch in Savannah. The interior is all white table clothes, stained glass panels and mahogany bookcases. The menu is definitely fancy.
Savoury chicken and spinach crepes, zucchini and shrimp cakes and smoked salmon croissant. Even the drinks are fancy; cucumber coolers and blueberry lemonade. So posh, so tasty.
4. The Emporium
The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market is a solid brunch spot in Savannah. The food is locally sourced, fresh and delicious. Don’t miss the apple fritters with bourbon maple anglaise to start. Then go for the cured and smoked brunch tower.
This monster comes with salmon, smoked fish rillettes, pickled shrimp, herb schmear, avocado mousse, boiled eggs and everything bagels. Make sure you go there hungry.Â
5. Husk
The brunch menu at this elegant Savannah spot changes weekly to incorporate seasonal, local produce. The food is modern southern, with some regional favourites such as biscuits and gravy and shrimp and grits. Yes, you can definitely order shrimp and grits for brunch.Â
Super hungry? Order the skillet of freshly baked cornbread.
6. Cafe M
This authentic French bakery is probably the best value brunch in Savannah. You can choose from a Parisian (lots of pastries), Healthy (lots of fruit) or American (bacon) brunch. Add bottomless mimosas for only $12. Bargain.Â
7. The Fitzroy
Finally, The Fitzroy. The cocktails are a big part of brunch at this popular Savannah restaurant and bar. Who doesn’t want a whiskey with their eggs?! But the food is excellent as well. They serve classics like french toast and omelettes.
The Fitzroy also does a mean biscuits n’ gravy with a poached egg. But hey,. when in Savannah!Â
Love seeing The Collins Quarter being first on the list. I loved it there! Savannah really is such a wonderful town for foodies. I also loved Leopold’s.
