Where is the best nightlife in Europe?

Looking to hit up the biggest party spots in Europe? Though almost everywhere has someplace to dance the night, some destinations are better than others. Wondering where is the best nightlife in Europe? Whether you are looking for an epic all-nighter in a superclub with a super start DJ or something a little more low-key, here is where you’ll find the best nightlife in Europe.

Where is the best nightlife in Europe?

1. Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza, the White Island, is one of the most popular party islands in Europe, with its beautiful beaches attracting partygoers from all over the world. The nightlife on the island is incredibly varied too. It ranges from laid-back beach bars to mega clubs with superstar DJs. One of the best things in Ibiza is to dance the night away on the sand with the waves lapping at your feet. Our favourite beach bars in Ibiza include Cafe del Mar and El Chiringuito. In Playa d’en Bossa, our favourite beach clubs are Coco Beach, Tanit Beach Ibiza, Beachhouse, and Tuk Tuk Ibiza.

2. Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw is one of the best Polish cities for a weekend of non-stop partying. It has a vibrant, budget-friendly after-dark scene that is truly superb. In fact, Warsaw has one of the best places for nightlife in Eastern Europe, with its multitude of bars and clubs. The most popular party place is the party zone on Parkingowa, Nowogrodzka and Mazowiecka Streets. But we also love the clubs at Plac Zbawiciela and the clubs by the Vistula –  the longest river in Poland. For a memorable night out, head to Level 27, a popular club 27 storeys high with unique views of the city skyline. This is a great place for sundowners and hosts weekly events and DJs. Poland is also a great place for nightlife if you are single, as it has the 11th-highest Tinder usage in Europe. So your chances of making a match here are high.

3. Biarritz, France

The Basque town of Biarritz might be small, but it certainly packs a punch when it comes to parties, especially beach parties. Nightlife here is fun and jovial, with plenty of punters spilling out from the bars onto the streets, where everyone hangs out enjoying al fresco drinks. However, the late-night dancing on the beach captures the chilled-out vibe of this surfer’s paradise. The nightlife in Biarritz tends to get going around May until October, when the season workers and the surfers take over the town. But you can find places to drink and dance all year around.

4.  Pag Island, Croatia

Pag Island is Croatia’s ultimate beach party destination with its wide variety of open-air venues and beach clubs and bars along its famous Zrće Beach. Our favourite spots are Aquarius, Kalypso, Noa Beach, and Papaya. To truly experience the amazing nightlife here, visit in the summer months when Hideout, Sonus, and the Fresh Island music festivals are on.

5. Ios, Greece

The Greek island of Ios is not as raucous as the islands of Zante and Mykonos, but the nightlife here is still a lot of fun. There’s a huge party scene, but it just has more of a casual, laid-back vibe. One of the best things about partying on this island is that it is still relatively affordable. Therefore, it is particularly popular with budget travellers and backpackers looking to let their hair down and party till dawn. Ios Town is where you’ll find plenty of bars, but much of the island’s party scene is focused on beach parties. So, head for the sand and water for hot summer nights of fun.

6. Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is a vibrant city famous for its art, culture, music, food, and great nightlife. Bairro Alto District is the city’s party district, packed with small bars and streets full of people enjoying drinks al fresco. This is a great district for a night of hopping. The narrow streets get pretty crowded during the summer, so head up to one of the many rooftop bars for some respite. Our favourites are Zé dos Bois and Insólito. Cais do Sodré is the district with the city’s highest concentration of disco bars and late-night clubs. The most popular clubs include Roterdão Club, Rive Rouge, and Titanic Sur Mer.

7. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam has rightfully earned its reputation as one of Europe’s best places to party. It has a laid-back atmosphere and a fantastic array of bars and clubs. Some of the best areas in Amsterdam for nightlife include the Red Light District, Amsterdam Central, Rembrandtplein Square, and Leidseplein Square. Clubbers are in for a treat, as most nightclubs have 24-hour licences, which means you can dance all day, and all night. Our favourite Amsterdam clubs are OT301, Radion, and De School.
