7 Places with the best nightlife in Europe

European countries have a wide variety of nightlife experiences, including some of the best superclubs in the world. So, whether you are into house or hip-hop, dance or disco, here are some of the places with the best nightlife in Europe.

7 Places with the best nightlife in Europe

1. Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza is one of the most popular party islands in the world, and it is easy to see why. The island is beautiful, and its nightlife is incredibly varied, offering everything from laid-back beach bars to super clubs. Some of our favourite beach bars in Ibiza include Cafe del Mar and El Chiringuito. In Playa d’en Bossa, the nightlife is off-the-charts good, with famous clubs such as Amnesia, DC10, Pacha, Ushuaïa, and many more. If you are looking for countless bars, pubs, and clubs, head to San Antonio’s West End strip. And, living up to its name, Sunset Strip is the place to go for, you guessed it, sundowners. This is where you’ll find the iconic Café Mambo and many other bohemian bars.

2. Dublin, Ireland

Dublin has something for everyone, from laid-back jazz lounges to underground clubs. However, the traditional pubs make Ireland’s capital city so special. There are around 772 pubs in Dublin, so you won’t go thirsty. For the full-on tourist experience with traditional music and Irish dancing, head to the Temple Bar area and pay a visit to the Oliver St. John Gogarty’s and the Temple Bar Pub. However, if creative cocktails are more your style,  you’ll find them on South William Street, George’s Street, Camden Street and Harcourt Street.

3. Berlin, Germany

Berlin is one of the best nightlife cities in all of Europe. It’s diverse, exciting, and surprising, from progressive, rebellious spots to traditional Bavarian bars. Once-abandoned warehouses are now pulsating nightclubs and bars, where freedom of expression is extremely important. These spots usually play techno, and you’ll probably want to research door policy for the dress code. The sprawling city has great nightlife in every neighbourhood, but some of the more popular areas are The Mitte district, Prenzlauer Berg, and Kreuzberg. Wrangelstrasse is right by the River Spree, with many bars, clubs, and pubs lining the waterfront. In Friedrichshain, you’ll find the famous Berghain nightclub.

4. Stockholm, Sweden

If you like dance music and dive bars, Stockholm is your city. Stockholm‘s nightlife is concentrated in three areas; Östermalm, Södermalm, and Stureplan. You’ll find the biggest and best super clubs in Stureplan. Partying in Sweden isn’t cheap, so if you are on a budget, head to the dive bars, where you’ll find the cheapest drinks. However, these places are usually packed with punters, extremely loud, and usually have sticky floors. If you are down with that sort of thing, two of our favourite dive bars are Lion Bar at Sveavägen and Baras Backe at Götgatan.

5. Amsterdam, Netherlands

With an incredible selection of bars and clubs, Amsterdam has rightfully earned its reputation as one of the places with the best nightlife in Europe. Some of the most popular party areas in Amsterdam include the Red Light District, Amsterdam Central, Rembrandtplein Square, and Leidseplein Square. When it comes to nightclubs, some of our favourites include OT301, Radion, and De School. Most clubs in Amsterdam have 24-hour licences, which means you can party all day, and all night.

6. Lagos, Portugal

Lagos is a famous party spot in Portugal, and the mild weather makes it perfect for summer beach parties. This charming coastal town has lots of venues hosting wild parties with friendly vibes for all kinds of partygoers. Partygoers love to holiday here because it has something for everyone, from live music to karaoke, clubs to cosy pubs. The best part is that most establishments are open till 4 am, so you can party all night and head out onto the beach to watch the sunrise before returning to your accommodation to rest up to do it all again the next day.

7. Mykonos, Greece

This gorgeous Greek island may be a small island, but it delivers big on nightlife. There are loads of beachside bars and nighttime bars and clubs that stay open late, so you can really party around the clock. If you want to be in the heart of the action, stay in Mykonos Town, which is also called Chora. This area has the highest concentration of nightlife on the island. Another great party spot is beautiful Paradise Beach. Looking for some hot spots to hit up? Some of our favourite clubs are Paradise Beach Club, Super Paradise Beach Club, and Tropicana Beach Bar and Restaurant.
