Looking for a more unique Nashville dining experience? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Hidden under the Johnny Cash museum, House of Cards is half entertainment experience, half bar and restaurant – and 100% the most magical dining experience in all of Nashville.
Here’s why it’s the most magical dining experience in Nashville
Upon entering the intriguing red velvet-lined, secret tunnel – you just know that House of Cards has magic at its core.
Rare and unique playing cards line the walls – which certainly explains the name.
The concept
House of Cards celebrates the art of magic, classic American cuisine and fine hand-crafted cocktails – all under one roof.
Unmistakable speakeasy vibes make diners feel like they are in on a delightful secret – and they are.
Once shown to their table by friendly staff, guests are encouraged to explore the dining room and be entertained by some of America’s top magicians who are stationed throughout the venue. Expect mind illusions and tricks all night long.
The food
If you like steak, then you will love House of Cards’ steakhouse style menu by Chef Keith Droz featuring six prime, juicy steaks – including one tofu steak.
We recommend ordering some starters (the beef tartare and bone marrow are a must!) and sides to share family-style. Follow with an entrée each. Even splurge on surf ‘n’ turf (pictured above) if you’re feeling fancy.
Magical, right?
The drinks
Mixology. Magic. Same thing, right?
At House of Cards, it sure is.
From the Arabica Old Fashioned and the house Manhattan to the Disappearing Mule and the Message in a Bottle, the cocktail menu features a lil something for everyone! Palette pleasers for all. Get your libation on.
The post-dinner magic show
As well as enjoying the magicians scattered around the dining room, with the purchase of a dinner entrée, diners get to enjoy a complimentary magic in the Carter the Great showroom post-dinner.
You can check all upcoming performances here to see who tickles your fancy.
Everything else you should know before going
We recommend making a reservation to guarantee entry, but House of Cards also welcomes walk-ins.
House of Cards offers happy hour Monday to Thursday from 4:45pm until 6pm featuring delicious small plates.
Take note of the strict dress code as guests are required to abide by it. The following are strictly prohibited: baseball caps, shorts, flip flops, sneakers, sweats, casual/athletic wear and t-shirts. Long story short: dress to impress.
The only downside of the entire experience? The no photography rule, which is just as hard to abide by as you can imagine.
