2. Jogai Ichiba

Also known as curb market, this is a hive of activity where you’ll spot lots of unusual and exciting ingredients. You’ll also find over 80 restaurants lining the streets nearby serving up fresh and delicious treats.

3. Farm Tomita

Quite possibly one of the most Instagrammable spots in Japan, if not the entire world. They have a huge range of flowers in fields that change with the seasons. A beautiful array of colours and a wonderful place to visit.

4. Mt. Moiwa Ropeway

Take the small cable car to the very top viewing point and you will be treated to one of the most stunning views of Sapporo. Try to come here on a clear day for the best scenic views.

5. Sapporo JR Tower

To truly understand the layout of this city you’ll have to come up to the observation deck of this skyscraper, which is 173m tall. Wonderful panoramic views in all directions will allow you the perfect Sapporo Instagram shot.

6. Sapporo Beer Museum

7. Shirogane Blue Pond

Just a short drive from the city you will find this unique and beautifully coloured pond. Man made to protect a local town after an earthquake, its colour is thought to come from the accidental presence of colloidal aluminium hydroxide in the water. It has to be seen to believed.
