Best burgers in AustinHow do these rankings work?
1. Pool Burger
Order your burgers from an airstream and sit outside while drinking tiki-themed drinks on one of the nicest terraces in the city. Everything about this place oozes cool, but the burgers are the star of the show.
2. Jewboy Burger’s
This Jewish-Tex-Mex food truck serves us delicious burgers. The onions are grilled onto the beef patties and topped with hatch green chiles, grilled pastrami, and latkes. Yum!
3. Casino El CaminoÂ
There’s so many things to love about this 6th street joint. It has an epic juke box, the drinks are cold and plentiful, the crowd don’t take themselves too seriously and the kitchen is open until 1am. The burgers are absolutely massive btw, so bring an appetite.
4. Top Notch HamburgersÂ
A proper old school burger joint with none of the pomp and fuss that some bigger restaurants have. Quick service, great burgers and fries that are to die for. If you could eat a burger every single day you’d probably choose to have it here.
5. Hopfields
This casual yet classy spot marries two of the tastiest things – French food and craft beer – to make one great restaurant. Their Pascal burger comes with camembert, cornichons, whole grain mustard and caramelised onions on brioche bun.
6. Holy Roller
Holy Roller is a punk rock diner that has an eclectic mishmash menu of nostalgic brunch-centric fare. Their Bombshell burger is a delicious beast: it’s topped with ham, American cheese, hash browns, house-made ketchup, and a fried egg.
7. Hopdoddy
A chain that simply doesn’t feel like a chain because of the amount of love that goes into everything (they hand bake the buns, for example). Their service is top class and the toppings original and unique.
