2. Beer Temple 

With over 30 beers on tap and 60 American bottled beers, you’d be forgiven for thinking this spot is just aimed at the broad tourist market. The reality though, is that the beer and service here is better than anywhere in the city in terms of quality and variety.

3. Craft & Draft

As soon as you step inside this stylish bar, you’ll spot 40 beer taps lining the wall behind the wooden bar. There’s over 100 bottled beers (with a small shop for take outs!) and great staff. Plus, the international beer selection changes every single week. You’ll always find something new and unusual to try at Craft & Draft.

4. Delirium Café

The Amsterdam outpost of the famous Delirium Cafe in Brussels, this place is  the perfect spot to try a range of beers from the Belgian Huyghe brewery.  With more than 500 beers on the menu, it really showcases the best of the world.

There’s also a restaurant section with hearty food to soak up all that beer, and a team of beer sommeliers who will suggest the perfect sip.

5. Butcher’s Tears

This tiny-but-mighty independent brewery flings open its tasting room doors every evening except Monday and Tuesday from 4-9pm for beer tasting. This is when beer fans can come by to try a regularly rotating menu of beers with fun names including ‘Monster Soup’, ‘Lipreader’ and ‘Little Trespasser’.

There’s also regular gigs and events, with a really great vibe.

6. The Oedipus Brewing Taproom

This fantastic craft brewery was founded by four friends who shared one major thing in common: a serious love for beer. You’ll see their colourfully bottled beers in lots of speciality beer bars in Amsterdam. But hey, it’s best to come to the taproom to drink it at source.

7. In de Wildeman

This cosy and historic bar is in a former distillery that dates from 1690 and has plenty of old school charm. In de Wildeman serves 17 beers on draft, with over 200 different types of beers on bottle. Their selection of beers is mostly Dutch and Belgian beers, with beers from local Dutch brewers and trappist breweries.

It’s easily one of the top spots for craft beer in Amsterdam.
