3. Military Park

Military Park is a large 6-acre park that sits right in the heart of downtown Newark. It is a very calming and soothing place to come for a walk if you’re looking to get away from the downtown city vibes.

4. Orange Sticks at Riverfront Park

The Gateway to Newark Murals is a bit of a hidden gem as you wouldn’t see it unless you were driving or in a car that passes this gateway. You might not believe it but this mural spans nearly over three kilometres and is the second largest mural in America.

You’ll find this insanely long mural on McCarter Highway Route 21. Definitely some Insta-worthy stuff here!

6. Cherry Blossoms at Branch Brook Park

While this may be more of a seasonal ‘Gram shot, try and make your way to Branch Brook Park in time for the cherry blossoms. In this park, there are more than 5,000 cherry blossom trees here, the most in America by far.

7. Inside Out Art Gallery at Fairmount Heights Switching Station

One of the more interesting and unique concepts in Newark is the Inside Out Art Gallery. This art gallery exhibits all of their work on the outside of the buildings in Fairmount Heights. This public gallery features local and national artists that created mosaics, sculptures, and other works of art for this project.
