One of the most popular bars in Rotterdam, this lively beer cafe gets very busy very quickly on summer evenings, with crowds spilling out onto the street. There’s plenty of local Dutch beers on the menu, decent music and good vibes only.
2. Tiki’s
Tiki’s is a Hawaiian-inspired surf bar in the heart of Rotterdam that serves up funky tropical cocktails in a space that’s borderline kitsch – but in a good way. It’s loud, a little chaotic and always a guaranteed fun night out in the city.
An old-school jukebox blasts tunes and there’s also live music sometimes.
3. Noah
When Noah opened its doors on the Oude Haven, barkeepers Hani and Erikson had just one goal: to become the best cocktail bar in the Netherlands. Looks like they’re succeeding. As well as their delicious cocktails, Noah also has superb street food and other tasty bites.
4. Spikizi Bar
“Spikizi” is a trendy and cosy bar hidden in a side street of Witte de Withstraat. It’s a modern take on a traditional speakeasy, with artisan cocktails and premium spirits.
Every month they have a great Silent Rave night, with the best live DJ’s playing the hottest pop, r&b, disco, funk and Caribbean through your headphones.
5. Melief Bender
This is the oldest bar in Rotterdam – an authentic pub in the heart of the city, with a rich history dating back over 125 years. It’s pure old school, with an extensive beer menu and friendly staff.
Sitting outside here on the scenic terrace in the sunshine is an essential thing to do in the city.
6. Biergarten
Biergarten is a tiny piece of paradise in the city, where the best things in life are simple: beer, BBQ, music, sunshine and good people. What more could you possibly need? The sprawling outdoor terrace is party central as soon as the weather turns warmer, with live music, comedy nights and other lively happenings.
7. Bokaal
Bokaal is a beer lover’s haven: they have 80 bottled beers and 11 on tap, served in (as the name of the bar suggests) glass jars.They also serve food, with a seriously tasty menu. While they don’t take reservations, waiting for a table at the bar is hardly a punishment.
