Last year I was in Krakow at the Christmas market. Great atmosphere, beautiful craft products, delicious dishes from Poland and abroad. I would highly recommend. In addition, I found a fantastic aparthotel in the area at an affordable price – Belle Epoque Residence. So if you plan to visit another Fair this year, I recommend Krakow with a pure heart. 🙂
We had our sole winter Christmas (we’re Australians) in 2013 in Vienna and it was wonderful. Brilliant markets and ice-skating (and the rink had a bar in the middle selling mulled wine….)
