3. Bruneau Dunes (Mountain Home)

The tallest single-structured sand dune in North America rises to 470 feet high above small lakes in the high desert, south of Mountain Home. An ideal camping spot.

4. Freak Alley – Boise

Freak Alley is a slick space for murals, graffiti and public art, located in an alley in downtown Boise. It’s also the largest outdoor mural gallery in the northwest.

5. Stanley Lake’s Lupine Blossoms

Wildflower season in Idaho is at its peak from May through July, so if you’re in the area at this time head to Stanley Lake for the beautiful purple Lupines.

6. Shoshone Falls State Park

At 212 feet, the falls here are even higher than Niagara Falls. There’s lots to do in the park: hiking trails, picnic areas, a boat ramp, swimming area, and a scenic overlook.
