This huge bar in the city centre has a botanic-style garden that looks like it was made specifically for Instagram. Come here during the daytime and it will usually be quiet – ideal for that extra special photo.

3. West Didsbury
A beautiful suburb of Manchester that can easily be reached by tram. It is absolutely teaming with great boutiques, pubs, pretty cafes and restaurants. West Didsbury looks especially stunning in spring, so visit then if you can.

4. Albert’s Schloss
You can’t miss out on a visit to this huge German-themed bar that serves up amazing food that’s perfect for the ‘gram, including their famous Cronuts. Along with the beer, you’ll find one of the most iconic bar entrances in the world.

5. King Street Townhouse
A hotel right in the city centre, King Street Townhouse has a charming (but small!) rooftop pool. It gets pretty cold in Manchester during winter, so save this one for the summer months.

6. The Old Wellington
The sort of pub you’d expect to see in the English countryside, but this unique spot has been lifted (quite literally) into a location right beside the shops in the centre of town. You’ll find them here.

A European-style food market spread over two floors, Mackie Mayor serves up a whole host of wonderful dishes from the individual vendors. It’s a big bright space that photographs super well, although it does get packed at the weekends. You’ll find them here.
