The best thing about Oslo bars? You’re never too far away from somewhere great to have a drink. Choose from hip cocktail bars and local microbreweries, to sports bars, traditional British and Irish pubs and karaoke bars.
Norwegian watering holes have it all. The incredibly cool Scandi decor in most of them is reason enough to stop by for a drink or two. Stuck for where to go on a night out in Oslo?

Best Oslo Bars
1. Torggata Botaniske
This famous botanical bar is famous for the plants and vines that line their premises, with the best part being that they work some of the herbs into the actual drinks. Something completely different and utterly unique.
2. Pigalle
A nightclub with its own unique 1960s design that’s still going strong. Their roof terrace in the summer is the ideal place to hang out and chill, drinking ice cold beers.
3. Blå
An intimate spot for live music where you’ll see international indie and rock artists as well as some great live DJs. No pretences here, just good old fashioned fun with your drinks.
4. Aku-Aku Tiki Bar
Fancy a flamboyant cocktail served in a skull shaped glass? If you’re a rum lover and don’t take yourself too seriously then you’ll love it here.
5. Bar Boca
A tiny cocktail bar where the owner is famous for mixing some of the very best drinks in the country. The only hard part is getting one of those coveted seats at the bar…
6. Herr Nilsen
An old fashioned jazz club where the lights are low and the music soothing. You don’t especially have to be into jazz either to have a great night here. A relaxing place to spend a couple of hours with a good friend.
7. Fuglen
A gorgeous vintage design store, which is a coffee shop during the day but flips into a cocktail spot in the evenings. Something for everybody in this stylish, chic spot.
