Their wings are big, plum and juicy; when served with loaded fries they’re just about the best cheat meal you could ever wish for.
3. They Say Restaurant
This is a New American jazz-style restaurant, where it is as much about the overall experience and live music as the food.
They serve up really authentic catfish, burgers and great lamb chops, but you simply have to start your meal with the wings. They are so good you could even double up and have them as a main course.
4. City Wings
City Wings is a simple counter serve restaurant where everything is stripped back and the focus is very much on the food.
The spicy wings are seriously good – as soon as you see the little flecks of chili coated to the meat you know you are going to be in for a test. Grab a dozen with a blue cheese dip and you will be in heaven.

A stationary food truck in Southwest Detroit that is passionate about economic development and health awareness of the Southwest Detroit community. The sort of place that is about so much more than just amazing food.
They are locally famous for their sandwiches, but our advice would be to get the wings on the side as an extra treat. The sauces take them to a whole new level.
6. Sweetwater Tavern
The tavern is located in the heart of Detroit’s historic district with roots that date back to the mid-1800s as one of the city’s first buildings.
They are famous for the bar food in general, including really great burgers, but the wings steal the show. A dozen of them with fries and an ice cold beer is as good as life gets. Pure perfection.
